If you ask me,the one I bought was junk.A waste of money.Take my advice and use a regular digital camera to view your pictures with. The Bushnell viewer that I bought would not view my sd card pictures and also caused me to loose my pictures that were on the sd card.I have nener been a fan of Bushnell anyway.SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is not a camera and on the package it clearly says viewer. but i thought it was a camera

I guess it is somewhat my fault but I thought that this was an actual camera with a built in viewer! The title should be changed to camera viewer! I was trying to purchase this quickly so my husband didn't see me (it was a Christmas present).

I purchased 3 of these trail cameras in one purchase. I was using them to keep an eye on activity at the front of my house. Fortunately, I used them in a situation where I was absolutely certain that pictures would be taken: i.e. my driveway showing me (and anyone else) coming on to the property. I initially installed the first two focusing on my driveway, and waited before installing the third on the back of my house. Well, the first one worked for two weeks then just stopped taking pictures. The second one worked for a week until it too, stopped taking pictures. The third one NEVER worked. When I called customer service they told me that perhaps my batteries went dead. They were unable to answer why they would still continue to not work after I replaced them with (another new) set of batteries. I returned all three immediately. My concern with this product and it's intended use for trail scouting is that how would someone really know if the product doesn't work. Those using them on trail may just assume that there were no activities in the area. Buyer, must definitely, beware!

I have only had this camera for a few weeks and I am new to game cameras. This one takes nice pics both day or night. The viewer is absolutly usless for the extra money. The viewer is a big mistake on Bushnell's part because of the bad press they have received over the last few years. For a customer to buy this camera with this fairly expensive option and find out it he or she has paid good money for something this usless is very agrivating. If I had baught the camera with out the viewer I would have given this camera 5 stars. I have to agree with one previous reviewer that most of the problems I have read on other reviews are do to the user not reading the manual completly. DO NOT REMOVE THE SD CARD WHILE THE CAMERA IS IN SETUP MODE OR ON. This will cause problems with both the card and the camera's software.

the first one i received took white out pictures that you could not see a thing. But thanks to wing supply who sent me another, with a prepaid label for return shipping, the second one works perfectly!

I have had my Bushnell 5.0 MP Trophy Cam for about 1 month now and it has worked as advertised. Because of at least one review, I read the book first, not a normal procedure for me. The unit does not have internal built in memory. The max SD card is 2 Gig. Which needs to be formatted in the camera. A simple procedure but not intuitive. $10 WalMarts and I bought two as to just swap memory and not move/reposition the camera each time. Cannot speak for the battery life yet. Everything else is quite good. Color rendition is more than adequate. I'm using it primarily as a security cam on my farm and its hard to get a good license plate shot w/o having the cam to obvious. On 5 MP, it is adequate. On animals, its excellent as I now know we have a 10 pt buck (whitetail, southern count) that passes thru the gate at night. I use it on three shot and find that the delay between shots is approx 1 1/2 seconds or therebouts. All the negative reviews I've read seem to revolve around not knowing that the unit has no wired internal memory and that you have to format the SC card before it works. All the mistakes I've read turned out to be user error...that I would have made had I not read reviews. We have a wide variety of game cameras that stay in the woods continuously. This is equal to our best cam which is a rather large and more expensive Leaf River. I particularly like the AA battery use. Bottom Line - I got my moneys worth and will buy another when I get a Kitchen Pass.

Great, clear, bright and true to color pictures in daytime and very clear black and white at night. Do not feel that LCD viewer is worth any extra expense. On my camera it is very hard to see pictures clearly and count is often wrong. Will not read pictures taken with another brand of camera even though SD card is same brand. If the Bushnell did not take the picture, the viewer will not read the card. As I had some other brands of cameras already, hoped to use the card viewer back in the bush. The extended battery time and use of AA batteries instead of C batteries, quickly makes this camera a much better value(5 star) than some others. I have 5 Wildview cameras that take good daytime pictures but go through batteries extremely quickly. Often will not last a full week with an average of 15-20 pictures taken and that is using Duracell's. This is probably due to fact that they have an actual flash and not infrared technology(just a guess). Have not had Bushnell long enough to comment on how long batteries actually do last, but 3 weeks so far, so good, already far better than my other cameras. If batteries do actually last for 6 months (Bushnell site says up to 12 months), will make this a very good buy. I am going to purchase another of these cameras, just without the card viewer. As another review mentioned, only holds up to a 2gb card so Amazons offer to purchase a 4gb card with camera is, although probably unintentional, somewhat misleading. UPDATE! I USE TO love this camera. Stopped taking any night pictures. When I talked to Bushnell they seemed to think that they knew the problem, sticking shutter for night pictures. Obviousley happened before. Send it right back and they will fix it. After almost two weeks called them. Was told it was "their busy time of year" and will be 18 WEEKS before they will get to it. I indicated that it is also the time I needed camera but their customer service representative was very rude and really was not the least bit concerned with my problem. I will have to agree with other reviewer that Bushnell has deplorable customer service. This camera was only a couple of months old and not even set up for the first month of ownership. Reconsider purchasing any Bushnell product.

Great camera. Takes clear pictures and is smaller than most game cameras. They could have put a little more effort into the software. It is like using a digital camera from 10 years ago. I would not recommend getting the camera with the display since it is almost impossible to tell if the picture caught anything.
