Retails for $150.00. First time used, lens has horizontal cracks in it. Flip customer service: "No replacement part for it". There is NO LENS COVER to protect it. Must have hit something while in tote bag. WASTE OF MONEY. How can they sell this for that price and not allow for a replacement lens. I would pay for it, I understand lens is not under warranty. That was not the problem. Like throwing out $150.00. I can't even give it a star, but might have to, to get this posted.

I bought this to capture my 3yr old daughter activities. Previously I had a very old sony miniDV. I was planning to buy a good flash or HD camcoder from Sony again. But I know the issues of portability with Sony and their software sucks. Hence was looking a more portable, reliable, good quality one. I came across this and read a lot of reviews about it. It lived up to my expectations in almost all aspects. Pros: Easy potable, good HD quality, Easy to use, Simple Software solution, Easy upload to any site. Cons: Battery and zoom.

The product is everything it claims to be, and more. It is very portable and convenient with great video quality and sound for its intended use. Absolutely no regrets in making this purchase. We took it Kauai for the trial run and it performed flawlessly. Viewing on a wide screen HDTV is very easy to do and fun for all at the end of a day of exploring the island. Make sure you purchase the cables to connect your HDTV. Thanks to Amazon for another great product with the usual reliable delivery service and support.

The camera is pretty cool and easy to use, but I was mistakenly under the impression that it would take snapshots. To get a snapshot, you have to video a subject then pick your favorite frame. A couple extra steps never killed anyone, but good light is a must for use.

Love the HD Flip video camera. Perfect for grandparents! Easy! Plug into the computer to charge. Easy - push a button and go to record, stop, and view!

All I can say is that you get what you pay for. The tripod is so tiny I'm not sure it'll even hold up the Flip camera. The case is just ok.

This case is so cute! the pink inside gives it a girly touch, and the inside is really soft it protects better than any other case. I use this for all my electronics from my cell phone to my ipod. with the strap its great to just throw on my wrist and go out for a night on the town.

This was very easy to use. The biggest problem is charging the battery pack. It won't charge. I've had to use regular rechageable AA batteries.

I received the Flip UltraHD as a gift recently, so I will share what I have learned so far. It has 2 hours of recording time, I have not maxed out the time between downloading it to the computer. Downloading is easy, just pop the built in plug into a USB slot and you are good to go, no cord to look for. It also has a HDMI output so you can hook it up to a high definition TV. Now having said that, the camera only has a 2x zoom, and using the zoom at all does deteriorate the picture. For me, I use the camera for filming family around the house, but if I filmed my son's football game, I would use a camera with a real zoom. This Flip is for the close up every day life you want to preserve. It has a 2.0 inch anti-glare screen built in, larger than the screen on the first Flip which my friend has, and the size of the unit is large. In my case, the picture did not look that different. If I was buying one for myself, I would take a look to see if the first Flip is cheaper, abut I hear it uses the battery faster. The one I have has a rechargeable battery, but you can also pop in 4 AA batteries if you prefer. My digital still camera uses those special disposable camera batteries, and they are a rip-off at $15 and don't seem to last but a few weeks. But it is still small enough to fit in my back pocket. Using the device is pretty intuitive, not an overload of controls and buttons, and any kid could operate it. For the size and the price, I think it is a pretty good gadget. But I can imagine in two years what they will have.

This cover arrived quickly but did not fit my flip ultra HD . The cover is way to small and no matter how hard you try to jam it in , itjust won't go in. My flip is longer than the cover so even the untrained eye can see that somebody has made a mistake. The one I ordered said it was for the ulta HD . Could there be a shipping mistake and they have sent one for a smaller model or maybe my ultra HD was made slightly larger than normal.
