It appears to be a well-made camera case designed for a thin compact or ultra-compact camera. I bought it for my daughter who got a Canon D10 for Christmas. It did not come close to fitting the D10 and I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. However, [...] was very responsive and promptly gave me an Amazon credit for the price of the bag plus shipping. It's comforting to know you can buy from Amazon's retailers with confidence that they will treat you right.

This is a great starter kit for anyone looking to move beyond what you can do with your G-10 or G-11 camera. I found the lenses to be very well made and the optical quality is very good expecially considering the price. (not they are not perfect but what do you want for a $30.00 lens) Unfortuanately due to the location of the auto focus assist beam there is a problem useing these lenses at night but other than they they are great. A great thing to point out is that you can use these on many more camera models than just the G10 / G11 series. Many point and shoot cameras just need an adaptor that you can purchase to use these lenses with them. Also the 58mm thread size fits the front of typical slr lenses. So if down the road when you pruchase your next camera you can most likely use them with it. Obvioulsy they are not the best for an slr but if all you have is the starter lens these are a great help until you can get better lenses. As for the rest of the kit it is decent. The filters are of decent quality, but the polarizer tends to come apart if you are not careful due to the weight of the lens hanging off the front ot it. The case is roomy enough for the accesories and my camera and there is a little room to grow so that is good. Quality of the case and tripod are not the best but they are far from the worst and are better than many other options in the same price range. Normally I would recomend a sturdier tripod but if all you are useing it for is a point and shoot it works in a pinch. All in all I have been very happy with this kit. The big thing I wanted was the lens converters but the case, filters and tirpod are a welcome addition and in my case greatly appreaciated since I had nothing except a camera. Also the service was great. The order was dilivered promtly and with out a hitch. And that is always a plus.

The only items I was shopping for were a telephoto adapter and multiplier for my G-10 ...for less than I would have paid for that, I got the telephoto, a wide-angle, the adapter and filters...all of which were surprisingly good quality...plus the rest of the kit, which are of OK quality, but a bonus since those items were simply extras to what I actually needed.

you get what you paid for, the tri-pod broke and got stuck on my G-11 camera. I thought I was unable to get it out and had to take it to camera shop to get it removed; luckily I was able to remove it pliers. I am afraid to put it back on it. One of the lens had a defect; the customer service was very helpful replacing the lens and tri-pod. I will have to give hands up for the Rep who worked with me. I would buy again from 47th Street Photo but I will buy any generic supplies that are not Cannon brand. They get 4 stars for good customer service, thank for reading.

I ordered this lens and bag combo with high hopes, the bag and the tripod are nice enough, but even though it says these lens work with the canon G10, they don't really, I mean they fit, but you have to use the zoom with them or else they have a round circle like a tunnel, the telephoto lens causes a lens error on the camera when you zoom in to get rid of the annoying circle. The wide lens can be used. It's a lot of fun stuff in the box, but the lens are just really of no use. I saw a youtube video about the opteka lens and it showed how these lens's differ from a canon lens. Not sure if you really need extra lens. If you need a tripod, mini tripod and camera bag and you don't mind paying 89.99 (that's what I paid) then this might be for you, but if you are wanting the lens, I say forget about it.

Got this in the mail yesterday. Real fun to play with since there's so much stuff packed in. However, this isn't top quality stuff, not going to be taking pro photos with it - but, still a blast to play with. The lens construction is quite good. The tele and wide angle, as well as the converter tube is a nice aluminum build. The converter tube I especially like - there were complaints about the official Canon tube being plastic and not fitting securely - this tube surpasses in both fields while being half the price if bought separately. The tele lens, as far as I can tell, does some pretty good quality pictures, though I haven't zoomed way into my finished shots to check the clarity. However, the bulk of it plus the fact that 2.2x really doesn't get you all that further means I probably won't carry it around that much. The wide angle lens is awesome to play with - BUT, it suffers from some realllllly bad blue fringing. Still, the wide-angle is a cool effect, and I don't think people will notice if you're doing web shots. If you're going pro and doing prints though...well, it won't be pretty. I think the blue fringing problem comes from, or is also attributed to the macro lens, that's part of the wide angle. The macro lens is also a blast to play with. You can take some serious close ups. But again, you're going to get some drastic blue edges. Everything else is serviceable. I was disappointed by the polarizing filter because it doesn't turn quite smoothly, and I don't think does all that great job of polarizing either. Don't really notice much of a difference in shots with the UV filter. The cleaning kit is serviceable, but comes with one of the best parts of the kit, the mini tabletop tripod. This has bendable legs and fits in a tiny pouch. The full-size tripod is comes with is of a cheap build. The bag is similarly icky. But! This thing was cheap. The lens are still fun to play with, and they feel real solid. They make your G11 look cooler too. Overall, for the price and a little fun, I'd recommend the package.

This case is WAY too big for the camera they specifically say it is for (the Canon SD780 IS). And it has weird fake velvet stripes. It looks nothing like the pictures in that it is way bigger and not as nice looking. Totally not what I was expecting. I was really disappointed.

The case didn't have the look and feel that I expected from the pics. It's too big for the camera that i bought - and they stated it was made for THAT camera (Canon powershot SD780IS) . The other thing that really annoyed me was that it took about 8 weeks to get to me! That is AFTER I complained and emailed them after 4 weeks saying that I ordered it weeks ago - it was guaranteed to arrive way before xmas (I ordered it in November) and I got it in January. DONT BOTHER!!!!!!

It was nicely made. The zebra print is velvet like and looks very sharp. It quality is good and there is extra space to put in other small items and well. The clip that comes with it is very helpful as well. Very pleased.

This memory cards works perfectly in my Canon PowerShot SD630. Since my camera is an older model, it's limited to 2GB. I'm happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.

I have not received the item yet. The ordering or shipping system seems to have problems.

I use it in my Wii for downloaded Rock Band songs. Works well with no hiccups.

This card came in original packaging and was a great price. Sadly, I bought it to use in my Palm PDA only to later discover my model won't accept over 1GB cards. No matter, I will be able to use it with something else. I would have paid 4 times more at Best Buy.

The 2.0 memory card holds a lot of pictures so that you can download to your computer later.Makes it nice to just slip into camera and start snapping away

Underwater Case for the Canon Powershot Digital Camera Underwater Case for the Canon Powershot Digital Camera

Reviews

I bought this so that I could use a "normal" camera at a water park we went to and it worked perfectly. No leaks, no weirdness.... did everything as advertised. :o)

A week before I purchased this camera case I didn't know such things existed. Today I returned home from Hawaii, and I'm looking over the wonderful photos and video we captured of our snorkeling trip, using our regular point-and-shoot (Canon SD870) thanks to this waterproof case. There were a number of people on the boat trip who had purchased a single-use underwater disposable camera for about the same price. They now have a roll of 20 pictures, whereas we have hundreds, and video (8G card in the camera). No water problems, easy set up, very reasonable price, super fast shipping-- a total winner! Quick hint: our Canon has an 'underwater' setting. Photos came out much more vibrant once we switched to that setting.

Considering the other waterproof case for my camera was $170 this was definitely a great alternative. I tested it out before I used it and it kept the paper dry. So i took on vacation with me and it was great. I even lost the camera once in the water and I was able to recover it because it floated. My only issue w/this product is thats it too big for my camera. so when you took pictures you had to make sure that the lens was centered in the plastic ring. or else you would get outlines of the camera ring in your pictures. also if you take a picture w/flash you have to struggle a bit to keep the lens centered and the flash light not covered by the case. its not the easiest waterproof case to use but once you get the hang of it, it works well. overall good product...GREAT PRICE

This thing was great! I was looking for a case to put my wife's powershot 7MP into on our honeymoon to Fiji and this meet all my needs. It is more affordable than a hard plastic custom case, but it still does the tasks those cases do. It kept water out the entire trip with not on drop of water seeking in over 5 days of use. The lens on it also allowed for very clear pictures as long as there were not water drops on it and you kept the camera lens centered properly. It also did a great job of keeping the sand out. The drawbacks were that you don't get a completely custom fit and the plastic can make it slightly difficult to operate some buttons like zoom, but what do you expect from something in this price range? make sure to place Silica packets inside just in case and let it stay open to dry out every night and it will work great for you.

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced option for taking underwater pictures while we were on vacation in Bora Bora. The fitted underwater camera cases are nice but were expensive. Since we did not see a recurring need for an underwater case we decided to try the Underwater Pouch for $29. It is not perfect, but it turned out some great underwater shots with our Canon Powershot. I would definately recommend this to anyone that did not want to invest in a underwater case.

I was going on a trip that would have snorkeling as one of the activities and I wanted to be able to take pictures underwater. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I settled on a case I could use for a small point and shoot camera, a Canon A570. This case proved to be easy to set up. To use the case, drop the camera in the case and seal it. There are triple seals to keep out water. The first is a zip lock type seal that is the main barrier against water entry. The end of the case is folded over and closed with a Velcro seal and the folded again with another Velcro seal. The seals worked and I did not have any water get inside the case. The case includes a strap and I hung the camera around my neck while snorkeling. There is sufficient air in the case such that it floats. Using the camera inside the case took some care. My camera has a lens that extends when the camera is turned on. If the lens is not centered over the extension in the case, it will hang and not extend fully when the camera is turned on. So the first step was always to center the lens with one hand and turn on the camera with the other. The camera can slide around in the case as there is nothing to fix it in position. The plastic case is heavy enough that I found it difficult to operate the zoom lever as it is located near the rolled up end of the case. Buttons are much easier to push, although it does take some effort. I did manage to take lots of pictures underwater and they turned out OK. At the widest zoom, the end of the case shows in the picture as a black ring. Once you are underwater and try to take pictures out of the water as well as underwater, drops of water remain on the lens part of the case and show up in pictures taken with the camera out of the water. All in all this case performed as expected and considering the price, it does a great job. If one is considering doing a lot of underwater photography, then a hard case might be a wise investment, but for a trip and casual use this is a useful item.

I was hesitant to trust this product with my digital camera but went snorkling with it twice and had no problem with leaking. I also took pictures from up high while parasailing which I wouldn't have done without it being waterproofed! My only complaint was that I couldn't use the zoom as the plastic prevented me from zooming back! I had some trouble adjusting to seeing the black circle in my viewfinder buyt once I realized I could just point slightly above the subject (fish) instead of lining them up in the usual manner, I did fine! And for those pictures that had the black cirle, I was able to crop it out!

I got this particular DVD for my Mom as a gift and she loves it. You can NEVER go wrong with a Blue Crane Digital DVD! You will take more away from this presentation the first time you watch it than if you read your manual cover-to-cover 10 times.

This DVD was just what I needed to fully understand the capabilities of my digital camera. As they say right in the video, the user's guides that come with the camera are comparable to the owner's manual for your car; they give a lot of information about the car, but don't teach you how to drive. This video picks up where the user's guides leave off. Not only do they explain all of the settings, how to adjust them & what they're used for, but they also give good general photography tips (i.e.; composition & the "law of thirds.") They also get into photo & movie editing (I'd recently given up on the latter, but now I "get it.") Although I had a vague notion that my camera was probably capable of a lot, now I fully understand those capabilities & have the knowledge required to use them to the fullest. I highly recommend this video to anyone "new" to these types of Canon cameras. Kudos & thanks to Blue Crane Digital for putting the power of my camera fully in my hands!

If you have one of these Canon A series Power Shot cameras, you will definitely want to get this DVD. I can't say enough good things about this DVD. Buy it, you won't be dissapointed. It goes into very much detail about using these camera's.

I bought this after buying a Canon a570is camera and I'm glad I did. Some cameras and owner's manuals are more intuitive than others. This is a great tool to teach you "how to use the camera" as well as some pointers on how to take good pictures. It goes step by step through each function and every button and combinations of buttons as well as creative alternatives. More importantly it tells how they work. Taking pictures with the camera set on "auto" is fine, but this DVD also tells you how to use the manual controls to your best advantage. I highly recommend this DVD to the casual user as well as those who want to expand there photographic horizons.

Wouldn't it be nice if all products ordered came just as advertised? This was one of those good experiences on all counts!!

I have had the camera since December 2009. I own a Powershot 510 and enjoy using rechargeable AA batteries. I needed a bigger zoom to shoot birds down by the pond. I am happy with the zoom and the wide angle for interior shots. I use a tripod for the long shots but have had some success with full zoom hand-held shots. But since I use MS Movie Maker I was disappointed to find out that Microsoft doesn't support the .mov movie file type so I had to buy other video software. I also have notice in 720p the camera drops frames. I bought a high speed SD card, 30meg/sec, and it didn't help. I haven't contacted Canon yet, I hope there might be a firmware or something I can do since 720p was primary in my purchase requirements. Overall the wide angle and zoom while shooting movies is good. I have owned Canons since my first AE-1 back in 1980. Does anyone have any ideas on the drop frame?

I just purchased this camera and have been toying around with it in the house and so far the picture quality has been great! The auto is a little to vivid for my liking, so I just change to custom and turn the color to natural. The zoom is great and easy to focus when you zoom fast. The real test will be when I attend concerts, how well the low lighting shots will turn out! Can't wait to test it out some more

Bought this to replace another make that broke. First real use was at the Daytona 500. Great pictures.

In today's economic atmosphere, it's hard to find a good value for your dollar. I don't know about you, but it seems manufacturers of products and service providers are gradually cutting back here and there, never dropping their prices. It seems we are gradually getting less of something, while constantly paying more. Enter the Canon SX20. This is where cutbacks stop and value for your dollar goes through the roof. Ten years ago you'd only dream of having a compact still camera that takes quality pictures like this along with pure, crisp, sharp, and great sounding HD video! Easy to use, although a little bulky, it has a solid feel in the hands and takes fantastic telephoto shots! A couple of drawbacks are the continuous photo option which snaps pictures at a measly 1 per second, and the fact that a full users manual in print is not included in the package (however a pdf format on disc is included, and we all have computers nowadays don't we?). My friends and I used to judge our digital cameras on how well they could take a night shot of the moon. Generally, all we'd get is a bright white spot. With the SX20, you'll be amazed at what the moon can look like! Blow up your shots, and you might even see some inhabitants! Made in Japan, and as usual a leader in quality, Canon once again does not disappoint!

As a film camera buff for many years I finally went digital. I really like this camera and especially its auto-focus feature. I have difficulty seeing and this takes the guess work out of focusing.

I purchased this Cannon SD1200IS for my daughter to give to her friend and he loves it. Everything is great, even the size, which I was worried about because his hands are large.

Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD fits in the pocket and shoots great photos and video.

This camera takes great pictures and is very easy to use. Battery life is great...just went to Egypt and was able to take 3 days worth of pictures before having to charge the battery...and the battery wasn't even dead at that point. One thing I wish this camera had that other Cannon's have is the Vivid Color feature. I love the effect of making the whole picture black and white and just having one color stand out. Otherwise, I have no complaints and I LOVE the green color!

This is our fourth Canon purchase. Like the rest, we have become very pleased with the product. There is some tendency to cheapen the housing etc from one to the next. I think the USB access cover is going to break any day now. Quality is good. I really do not need the increased megapixels but this is the trend for the industry. The screen size is great. I like the new button to move from picture to picture. I am happy with the purchase. Wish they had not changed battery size as we lose the flexibity to share batteries and chargers.

Had last year's model of same camera but was unfortunately lost. Chose to get same camera since the previous one was such a good product.

Great camera, easy to use, attractive design. Timely delivery. Just wish it had more memory on the memory card.

...this camera is a hard-core battery addict! I can use it for "maybe" an hour and the batteries are dead! This happens with or without the view screen on. I either need to get a ton of rechargeable batteries or a power cord! The pictures are beautiful! I use the macro mode for taking pictures of jewelry and they come out crisp and clear. I'm not a shutterbug by any means so it took me a while to figure out why they were coming out so HUGE. If the batteries would last longer I'd love this camera!

We just took this camera on an extended trip abroad and were totally delighted with it. It made our old camera that we took along for backup look mediocre. Image stabilization is very good, exposure in low lighting was impressive, and automatic settings worked well to give us impressive photos. The only surprise was that there's no selection for image quality to control the size of the files.

light weight and very cute looking......great quality photos.....however, the battery and memory card cover is very flimsy and feels like it could break with very little force. My older canon's cover worked better and felt more heavy duty.

I bought this camera before Christmas 2009, and took lots of pictures during the colorful holidays. I was not thrilled with the results - photos seemed dull, flat, and uninteresting. Photos taken with my 6-year-old Sony were much better! Thought about returning the camera, but couldn't be bothered. Wish I had - camera recently fell off a low end table, and the small plastic clasp for the battery/memory card compartment broke off. Now, because compartment doesn't close properly, camera doesn't always work. I have a good excuse to get a different camera - think I'll go back to Sony.

Canon PowerShot G10 / G11: From Snapshots to Great Shots Canon PowerShot G10 / G11: From Snapshots to Great Shots

I originally got this book book because I didn't like the manufacturer's manual and needed a reference book for a visually oriented person (I'm a graphic designer). I quickly noticed that the book a good photography book, full of of tips and ideas. I think that it should have been called "From Snapshots to Great Shots with the Canon PowerShot G11/G10" instead. This book is meant for the novice to intermediate looking to take better pictures and needs to learn the basic concepts of photography and how to get there, using the G11/G10. You'll quickly learn about ISO, aperture, shutter speeds, depth of focus and how these factors interact with each other, in clear and easy to understand terms. You'll also learn many general tips and specific tricks to help you getting appealing shots. This book will help you grow into the high-end creative features that two of the most versatile point and shoot cameras offer.

Canon PowerShot G10/G11: From Snapshots to Great Shots Before I begin this review, I want to make clear this is not "the missing manual that should have come with your camera." Rather, this is a photography book that uses the Canon G10 and G11 as the vehicle to help any photographer--but particularly one using a high-end point-and-shoot--improve his or her image-making skills. And to make his point, that anyone can make great images, the author--Jeff Carlson--illustrated much of From Snapshots to Great Shots with images submitted to his online Flickr group. Although the goal of this book is pretty much the same as any photo book--to make the reader a better photographer--Jeff Carlson does take a different tact from many other authors. First, although this book focuses on the Canon G10 and G11, he describes their features more in terms of when and why to use them, rather than how. The "how" he leaves to the respective camera manuals to which he directs the reader using page-referenced "Manual Callouts." Next, each chapter begins with an image (complete with shot data) analyzed for the topics to be discussed in the following pages. Last, as I mentioned, the author doesn't rely only on his own professional images to illustrate the techniques described in the book. He lets readers see that "real people" can make excellent photos with the methods he provides. And, of course, as any good instructor should, Jeff asks his readers to take a break after each chapter and put what they have learned to practical use: to shoot images and submit them to the book's Flickr group. As you'd expect, From Snapshots to Great Shots clearly covers all the necessary skills and techniques a good photo book should, with chapters on camera controls and modes, shooting techniques and image-making styles. I'd certainly recommend this book to G10 and G11 shooters (I'm a G10 shooter); but, I also believe any high-end point-and-shooter can also benefit.

IF YOU OWN THE CANON G10 CAMERA, THIS IS A MUST HAVE BOOK. iT OFFERS CLEAR AND CONSISE INFORMATION FOR THIS CAMERA. THE OWENERS MANUAL IS VAGUE AND HARD TO UNDERSTAND. tHIS BOOK WILL HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE CAMERA AND WILL ASSIST YOU IN CREATING TRULY BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS. I ALSO PURCHASED THIS BOOK FOR MY BROTHER.

This is a great book for anyone looking to become a better photographer. It covers all the basics/intermediate and some advanced shooting techniques. Even if you dont own a G10 you can still come away with a lot of great information. The tips and advice presented in this book cover any camera with manual controls. A great read for anyone looking to improve their point and shoot techniques!

I enjoyed reading the book very much. It is a great addition to the manual which lists the many good features of the camera but not when and how to use them. While I have been familiar with some of the photographic concepts presented in this book, I learned many new things. As a new owner of a Canon G11 I liked how those concepts were presented: First the artistic reason and use of the concept is explained and then the author shows how to implement it with the G10 or G11. I also liked the many great pictures with the associated technical data (ISO sensitivity, aperture, shutter speed and zoom) in this book. The text and the pictures were easy to understand, enchanting and make me want to use my camera more often to take good pictures.

Canon PowerShot G11 Digital Field Guide Canon PowerShot G11 Digital Field Guide

I love this book. For one thing the manual that came with my Canon G11 has really small type which does not work with my middle aged eyes ;) This book explains all the operations and button galore that is part of the G11 in clear text and great photos. I also explains how to take unique photos with this camera. All in all a fine book that I highly recommend.

this is a great guide for the Canon G11 camera. I found the owner's manual to be difficult to see and also boring to read. Not true with this book. The pages are in full color and easy to see and understand. In an effort to learn all I could about my new camera, I had gone though the owner's manual that came with the camera several times prior to buying this book. After reading only part of this book so far, I've found out all kinds of things that I never saw in the owner's manual! I find it to be MUCH more helpful than the Magic Lantern Guide too, which just seems to have rehashed passages from the G11 manual that you get with the camera. Not only that but many of the illustrations in the Magic Lantern book are in black and white which makes it harder to see. If you're only going to buy one G11 book, make it this one, you wont be disappointed.

Just getting back into photography after several years. Lots of new digital cameras to choose from. I did careful research and found the right camera for me, the Canon G11. However, when I received I pleasantly found out that this camera to have lots of extras. I decided that I needed a good guide to this camera. Brian McLernon's book fit the bill perfectly. He covers everything that I wanted to learn about this multi-facited camera. Easy to read. Good illustrations, excellent directions. The perfect guide to this great camera.

Like a few other people I have more expensive cameras and agree that sometimes you want QUICK & EASY and this camera gives you that. This A1100is is definitely an improvement over the camera we replaced(samsung 630). When looking for a replacement the NO.1 feature was a FASTER reaction time to take those pictures (MAKES IT EASIER TO GET THOSE PICTURES OF THE GRANDKIDS ). Its not as fast as a SLR but it cost is 25% of the SLR's and in my opinion the SPEED TO PRICE is GOOD. I am also impressed with the MOVIE function. I recently bought a HD FLIP camera for my daughter and the A1100is video blows the FLIP away in picture quality and zoom (MAKE SURE YOU GET 4GIG OR 8GIG CARDS IF YOUR GOING TO DO VIDEO) OVER ALL I REALLY LIKE THIS CAMERA! ESPECIALLY FOR $129.00,HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?, The only reason I don't give it 5 STARS is the picture gets grainy fast the higher you go past the 4x zoom. IN SUMMARY: LOVE THE CAMERA, MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS USE THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES 2200mh (2450-2500mh is better). I LIKE THE ENERGIZER 15min CHARGER. I THINK THIS WILL SOLVE MOST OF YOUR POWER AND TIMING PROBLEMS. ENJOY JAK P.S. This camera does have a continuous mode plus alot of other setting to satisfy an amature photographer, you just have to read the manual.
